I travel, I travel a lot. Three days ago, I was in London, in this moment I’m on the flight back from Fuerta Ventura. I’m going to Cologne tonight and will be in Frankfurt the day after. I could continue for some time, but I think you’ve got the point
So I travel and I see people’s way of dressing. I won’t even begin with my amazement about the ‘fashion’ people choose to decorate their bodies with on Fuerta Ventura (money belts, I love FV caps, screaming prints on dresses and “unflattering” color combinations). Frankfurt and Cologne are on their way (even though Frankfurt is very “suity”), but London’s got it going on.
What has London got what the other places don’t have? It’s a city of large scale, it’s challenging, but mostly it’s expressive. It’s so big it dares you to stand out. To make your fashion your fashion, you need to be willing to put in some creativity and effort.
Style can address who you are, also on a comfy-pants day, and that’s what I love. Traveling shows you different sides of yourself and fashion is a way to dress yourself and feel where you are at not only geographically, but also in yourself.
So dress it up, or dress it down, don’t care about others. You’re the king with the crown.
